There are many ways to remember The Players in your plans and make a lasting difference. Our Legacy Circle member volunteers stand ready to assist as you create a legacy plan that meets your goals.

Legacy Circle

For nearly 140 years, this clubhouse has been a home for creativity, conversation, and camaraderie. If The Players has shaped your life—or you honor its role in New York’s cultural history—there’s a simple way to keep it thriving: join our Legacy Circle.

Your legacy gift preserves our landmark home and its Stanford White interiors, welcomes emerging artists and audiences, and safeguards the artistic traditions that make The Players unique. Funded endowments can help maintain its tradition of lower dues than most colleague clubs, of particular importance for its younger and emerging artist members. With no immediate out-of-pocket, you can participate by:

  • Bequest in a will or trust (a single sentence can do it)
  • Beneficiary designation on life insurance or IRA
  • Assigning assets, such as real estate or residual retirement funds
  • Creative product income designation, like royalties, residuals, or copyrights

Whether you’re a longtime Player or a supporter of New York’s cultural history, you’re invited. The Legacy Circle is open to members and non-members who want to invest in the future of this institution.

Our volunteer team can discuss options in plain language and share information you can take to your advisor. We don’t provide legal or tax advice—but we’ll help you shape an plan that reflects your wishes and makes an impact.

Use the form below to request information or arrange a private conversation. You can also ask for sample bequest language, or let us know you've already made a plan so we can thank you and honor your intentions.

Every commitment—of any size—strengthens a community here since 1888, and helps continue to build it for generations to come.
